Education & Experience:
Alaa went to the University of Minnesota where she received her doctorate degree in Educational Psychology. She is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology and is a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). She has experience completing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings. She is also passionate about identifying best practices in the prevention and early intervention of social, emotional, and behavioral functioning, with a focus on enhancing universal screening procedures in schools to provide early intervention supports and strengthen students’ functioning. In addition, she has published peer-reviewed research articles and has presented her research at regional and national conferences.
Hobbies:
Outside of her career, Alaa enjoys baking and biking with her family.
