Matthew Brandt

VP of Groves Literacy Partnerships

Ph.D. from Marquette University

Prior to working at Groves, Matthew worked for 15 years at the Minnesota Humanities Center helping them serve communities across the state of Minnesota. He led the creation of many award-winning projects, including the creation of the Why Treaties Matter exhibit in partnership with the sovereign Indigenous nations inside Minnesota’s borders and the TPT-produced documentary Iron Range: Minnesota Building America. For 10 years he helped Innocent Technologies, LLC expand its Innocent Classroom programs and services nationwide. He is excited and grateful to be part of the Groves Literacy Partnership team and is working to increase reach and impact. When not watching his children compete in their sports, Matthew enjoys the outdoors: hiking, kayaking, and being in the woods and lakes of northern Wisconsin.
