ALMA is the student information system used by Groves Academy to manage student data such as attendance, schedules, report cards, and transcripts. Through the ALMA parent/guardian portal, families have secure access to this information.

Transportation to and from Groves Academy

Carline & Driving on Campus Safety Rules:
- Remain OFF of your cell phone while in the car line
- Be alert – keep the carline moving forward
- Students must enter/exit the vehicle alongside the curb
- Watch and proceed carefully when moving into the traffic lane to exit the carline
- Park in the lot if entering the building (Do not park in the pick-up/drop-off area)
- Please do not bring pets onto campus (Pets must fully remain in vehicles)
Morning Drop-Off
- Families may drop off beginning at 7:30 am
- All divisions will use the main entrance
Afternoon Pick-Up
- All divisions will dismiss at 3:00 pm
- Lower School families will use the driveway behind the school (west end of the building)
- Middle and Upper School families will use the main entrance

St. Louis Park
Groves Academy students who live in St. Louis Park can take a St. Louis Park school bus to and from school. There is no fee for this service, but parents must contact the St. Louis Park school district to arrange transportation.

Parents of enrolled students who would like more information about busing should contact Amy Luffey.

Carpooling is a great option for many Groves Academy families, and we’re here to make it easier than ever.

Click the link below to opt in and fill out our Google Form. You’ll be asked to submit your contact information and confirm your consent to be included on our private Google map. Families interested in forming a carpool group can also reach out directly to Amy Luffey for support and coordination.

Inclement Weather Guidance

GLO will provide rapid communication to the parents and guardians of Academy students and Learning Center clients in case of a school/building closure. Community members will receive either an email and/or a phone call with an automated phone message announcing a closure. Please remember that closure announcements most often occur before school hours. If your telephone numbers change during the school year, please update your information in Alma and let the office or your direct supervisor know of the change.

Unless driving is hazardous, GLO will remain open every day we are scheduled to have students and clients on campus. Parents and guardians may bring students to GLO or keep them home when weather conditions affect travel decisions. Students who remain at home during these inclement weather days will receive an excused absence.
There are three (3) essential components driving the decision-making process to close the school/building:
1. A Team-Approach to Decision-Making: Our Safety and Security Team— school leadership along with other leaders in the Groves community—consult during the course of the day, throughout the evening, and if necessary, the morning of, to gauge potential impacts of the weather forecast on the safety and commute of GLO students, clients, families, faculty, and staff.
2. Research: We seek information from the National Weather Service, review several local forecast models, and assess the weather-related decisions of surrounding school districts and independent schools.
3. “Safety First” Mindset: Undergirding all of our decisions is safety first. The safety of our students, clients, families, faculty, and staff is the most essential decision making component and our top priority.
