Mari is originally from Minnesota but spent 12 years in Colorado before returning back home with her family. She attended Colorado College and the University of Denver. She has taught in elementary and high schools in Colorado and Minnesota. Mari has also been a doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor. She is a teacher at Groves Academy and previously worked as a tutor at the Groves Learning Center. Mari enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband and two kids. They like to bike and ski together as much as possible.
