Kimberly Peeples is the Head of School at Groves Academy in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. She is the eighth Head of School in our school’s history charged with upholding its mission of building confidence, success, and purpose through transformative learning experiences.

Since joining Groves Academy, Kimberly has advanced the organization’s mission in the school by leading key curricular innovations such as the thematically-based executive function courses in the Upper School with similar programs in the Lower and Middle Schools. She’s also encouraged leadership through service to others with the Griffin Service Core, whose founding members are students from each of the school’s divisions and are interested in volunteerism and service within and beyond Groves’ walls. Kimberly is a firm believer in professional development for school leadership, faculty, and staff.

Kimberly came to Groves in July 2017 from Breck School where she held a number of key positions over her eleven-year tenure including Community Outreach Coordinator, Upper School English, Ethics, and Leadership Instructor, as well as the Upper School Dean of Studies. Kimberly’s last key position at Breck was the Director of Servant Leadership, where she helped students discover their journey of leadership by bringing the best out in themselves in their service to others. She also designed innovative programming to engage students in civic, service, and spiritual endeavors. Prior to joining Breck, she was a proud leader and educator within Detroit Public Schools for thirteen years.

Kimberly received her Master’s degree in English and Secondary Education from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Michigan State University.
