Anael Kuperwajs Cohen

Research Assistant

B.A. from Macalester College

Anael received her B.A. from Macalester College where she studied computer science and applied mathematics and statistics with a concentration in cognitive science. During this time she participated in three summer research internships, two in software engineering and one in computer science education. Her undergraduate honors thesis was based on her work in computer science education, which focused on the social help-seeking behavior of introductory programming students. After graduating, she started applying her technical skills to psychology research as a postgraduate research assistant at Yale University studying the mental health climate of early education and childcare settings. Lastly, her most recent research position at the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis VA Health Care System looked at detecting early cognitive decline in older adults using unobtrusive technology to monitor changes in daily living and activity. Anael enjoys dancing, hiking, and cooking/baking.
