Dyslexia Practitioner

Education & Experience: 

Alyssa went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her BS in Rehabilitation Psychology through the School of Education. Alyssa began her teaching career in Thailand where she taught English as a second language. Since then, she has worked with students with dyslexia utilizing the Wilson Reading System for over six years and will begin her fifth year at Groves Academy this school year. She continues to further her education and is currently in the process of obtaining certification as a dyslexia therapist and her MS in education with a specialty in dyslexia.

Hobbies: 

Outside of school, Alyssa enjoys lakes, the ocean, traveling, and crafting. She’s also a big University of Wisconsin-Madison fan. Go Badgers!
